How to Become a Volunteer

1. Submit a completed volunteer application.
2. Upon review of submitted application, an interview will be scheduled.
3. After an interview and acceptance as a volunteer, the Harbor staff member under whose direction your area of interest falls will contact you.
4. Complete volunteer orientation.
   • Welcome to the Harbor.
   • Review volunteer handbook.
   • Take tour of Harbor's La Porte campus.
   • Meet your Harbor volunteer supervisor.
   • Review job description and receive related safety training (if necessary).
   • Determine volunteer schedule.
