Giving Tuesday

#GivingTuesday
December 2, 2014

Giving Tuesday was established in 2012 as a way for individuals, families, organizations and businesses to come together with the common goal to celebrate generosity and to give to others. Please support Boys & Girls Harbor with a special “Giving Tuesday” contribution on Tuesday, December 2nd.

Holiday Appeal 2014

The Harbor is more than shelter, food and clothing for children. We have a charter school, athletic and agriculture programs and a full array of summer activities.

Many of the children at the Harbor have never experienced a real childhood, or the joy of celebrating the holiday season with a loving family.

We invite you to join us this holiday season by making a special contribution to Boys & Girls Harbor. Every gift is meaningful to our kids! Thank you.

The Mission of Boys & Girls Harbor

is to provide healthy, comprehensive residential care for children and families in crisis. For children who are experiencing family hardship, neglect, abandonment or abuse, the Harbor provides a family environment in a home setting.

Through its programs, the Harbor strives to help children learn to overcome self-destructive patterns, break cycles of abuse, develop social skills, learn responsibility, and work towards becoming healthy, happy, and productive members of society.

History

Founded in 1947, Boys & Girls Harbor has long served as a refuge for children ages 5 to 18, in crisis due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or family hardship. The Harbor welcomes children in need regardless of race, creed, color or financial status, offering them a safe, loving, family environment. Since opening its doors, the Harbor has helped thousands of children realize their dreams and reach their full potential. With your help, we can continue to eliminate the tears, fade the emotional scars, and stop disruptive and destructive family patterns for generations to come. Together, we are “shaping children’s tomorrows”.
