As we seek to carry out the mission of Boys & Girls Harbor, one of our most valuable resources is our volunteers. Through our volunteer program, there are many opportunities for individuals, clubs or civic groups, corporations, and churches. The Harbor offers a variety of projects that are tailored to a volunteer's time and talents -- there is a fit for everyone!
There are many ways to support the work of Boys & Girls Harbor, including both direct financial support (operating support, capital gifts, and planned gifts) and in-kind gifts (clothing, athletic equipment, food, milk, etc.). The Harbor's Development Office will be glad to answer your questions and provide further information regarding specific opportunities for giving.
Boys & Girls Harbor provides a stable and loving home environment for children 5 to 18 years of age. Each residential home on the campus can accommodate up to eight children under the supervision of full-time, live-in house parents. The program is licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services as a General Residential Operation with the ability to serve up to 88 children.
Harvey may have tackled Houston, but he didn’t take us down! Fantasy Football Draft Night kickoff is now scheduled for Tuesday, September 26th at NRG Stadium. Boys & Girls Harbor was affected by the hurricane just like many people, businesses, schools, and organizations. Our fundraiser will help repair damages sustained at the campus. The event is also important to generate funds to support our important mission of providing residential care for children who have experienced abuse, neglect, abandonment, or family hardship. Please join us on Tuesday, September 26 at NRG Stadium to resume play!!! The event starts at 6:00 p.m. Use the Westridge Entrance, off Kirby (gate 9). Enter the Stadium through the Ford Gate and take the elevator to the Club Level. Attire is game day casual. Please inform your table guests of the new date. Thank you again for your support, and we look forward to seeing you soon.
Hurricane Harvey resulted in a number of our cottages taking on water ranging from damaged flooring that must be replaced to roof leaks that require repair work. While our children are fine, we need your help to repair our cottages.

The Tug For Life event, created by the Boys & Girls Harbor, is an event aligned with Texas Education Agency’s, Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). The school educational fundraiser is the only one of its kind which aligns the messaging, education and resources to support Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) while building and defining character traits and establishing boundaries for the prevention of child abuse and coping with family trauma.
