As we seek to carry out the mission of Boys & Girls Harbor, one of our most valuable resources is our volunteers. Through our volunteer program, there are many opportunities for individuals, clubs or civic groups, corporations, and churches. The Harbor offers a variety of projects that are tailored to a volunteer's time and talents -- there is a fit for everyone!
There are many ways to support the work of Boys & Girls Harbor, including both direct financial support (operating support, capital gifts, and planned gifts) and in-kind gifts (clothing, athletic equipment, food, milk, etc.). The Harbor's Development Office will be glad to answer your questions and provide further information regarding specific opportunities for giving.
Boys & Girls Harbor provides a stable and loving home environment for children 5 to 18 years of age. Each residential home on the campus can accommodate up to eight children under the supervision of full-time, live-in house parents. The program is licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services as a General Residential Operation with the ability to serve up to 88 children.
A special thanks to all who made the 2017 Fantasy Football Draft Night a success!
Hurricane Harvey resulted in a number of our cottages taking on water ranging from damaged flooring that must be replaced to roof leaks that require repair work. While our children are fine, we need your help to repair our cottages.
In addition to financial support, Boys & Girls Harbor is in need of the following items at this time: · Water · Personal Care Items · Toiletries · Brooms · Mops · Vacuums · New Socks (Children) · New Underwear for Boys and Girls
Please contact our campus staff to make arrangements to drop-off items: Janna Cole 281.471.9622 x100 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
