Tug for life: Corporate / Municipality

Tug for life is a team building fundraiser created by Boys & Girls Harbor for educational outreach, advocacy and awareness for the prevention of childhood neglect and abuse.

The Tug Challenge is used to support corporate Employee Wellness and Team Building. We offer educational presentations and provide the event Tug-Of-War ropes to kick-off the promotion and fundraising for a Team Building Tug For Life Corporate Challenge.

As we seek to carry out the mission of Boys & Girls Harbor, one of our most valuable resources is our volunteers. Through our volunteer program, there are many opportunities for individuals, clubs or civic groups, corporations, and churches. The Harbor offers a variety of projects that are tailored to a volunteer's time and talents -- there is a fit for everyone!

There are many ways to support the work of Boys & Girls Harbor, including both direct financial support (operating support, capital gifts, and planned gifts) and in-kind gifts (clothing, athletic equipment, food, milk, etc.). The Harbor's Development Office will be glad to answer your questions and provide further information regarding specific opportunities for giving.

Place a Child

Boys & Girls Harbor provides a stable and loving home environment for children 5 to 18 years of age.  Each residential home on the campus can accommodate up to eight children under the supervision of full-time, live-in house parents. The program is licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services as a General Residential Operation with the ability to serve up to 88 children.
